The Niobrara is a river. It’s also a rock formation and a village and probably a few other things. While rivers may not be all that special (I think they are), this river rises to the occasion because it is in Nebraska, a place not commonly thought of as river country. Turns out that the Niobrara is loaded with cliffs and waterfalls and all sorts of flora and fauna not seen anywhere else.
So next time you’re blasting across Nebraska aiming at some far off destination, consider stopping in this place, one more spot in the heart of flyover country, and enjoying something that most people don’t know exists and only a few ever even see.
